Dr. Rebecca Crowther Whittaker
Originally from Cedar City, UT, Dr. Becca attended Southern Utah University on an academic and music scholarship studying Pre-Med and minoring in music. During her studies she developed a severe repetitive strain injury in both elbows and wrists, limiting the fine motor skills she would need to be either a doctor or a musician. She had various treatments for 2 years but with very limited results until a local chiropractor examined and adjusted the joints in her arms. "I felt full blood flow and nerve flow in my hands for the first time in 2 years!," she explains. She
was able to regain full use of her arms and finish her education, doing an about-face in her plans to be a medical doctor and changing them to be a Doctor of Chiropractic. "There was no question for me in the moments following that first wrist adjustment. I just knew it was what I was supposed to do. It was the only thing that had worked for me, and I wanted to share that gift with as many others as I could."
She met and married Tyler Whittaker during her last year in undergraduate school and continued with him to the renowned Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, TX. She graduated cum laude with her Doctorate in Chiropractic, gaining basic 100-hour certifications in Pediatrics, Chiropractic Acupuncture, and Applied Kinesiology along the way.
She is active in the community, frequently giving non-profit natural health presentations for schools, events, and businesses as part of theDoctors-Speakers Bureau. She has given birth at home to 4 wonderful children.  She loves her work both as a mother and a doctor and also enjoys playing the cello, dancing, reading, waterskiing, 4- wheeling, camping, and about any other crazy family activity they can dream up.
Dr. Tyler spent his childhood years in Iowa and Las Vegas, NV, following his own father in his schooling to become a Doctor of Chiropractic. They settled in Richfield, UT, where Dr. Tyler solidified his plans to become a chiropractor himself. "I grew up seeing my dad help so many people with chiropractic that I just knew it was what I wanted to do. Natural health care just made sense to me. We never had to see a medical doctor for any illness in our family, and he (my dad) could help us recover much faster from sporting events by adjusting us than by the medications and pain killers I saw my friends had to use."
He went to Southern Utah University and continued his graduate education at Parker College of Chiropractic. While meeting the rigors of the accelerated program he also obtained 100-hour certifications in both Applied Kinesiology and Chiropractic Acupuncture, as well as working alongside his wife in tutoring high schoolers,
mentoring math and science camps, and working with special needs children as part of Celebrate the Children.
They have operated their own clinic in Cedar City, UT since January of 2006. Tyler loves to have fun, especially with his family. He enjoys playing on 4-wheelers and motorcycles, camping, practicing survival skills, skiing, computer gaming, and martial arts.
